Instructions for Application
- Apply the Progelcaine in a thin layer to the skin, first massaging the gel into the pores.
- Then, apply a generous amount of Progelcaine, about a 2-3mm layer.
- Use your judgment, such as wrapping it in plastic a few times. (The manufacturer advises NOT to USE an occlusive dressing; skin burns can occur.)
- Use heat, such as a sweater or a warm compress, to help the topical numbing gel absorb deeper.
- Johnny Crash encourages heat to enhance the numbing effect (sweaters work nicely). Sometimes, he wraps the area a few times in plastic to warm it. He also employs a warm compress to help the numbing be absorbed a little deeper.
- Thicker body parts with thicker skin allow the gel to sit on the skin a little longer, like an hour and 20-30 minutes.
- Thinner areas, such as the neck/throat, are about an hour.
- Only spray with Cosmic Tattoo Numbing Spray when the numbing wears off.
- Do not use on unhealed tattoos.

Cosmic Tattoo Numbing Spray
Cosmic Numbing Spray is a secondary product used to numb the skin. Apply it only after the primary numbing (or pre-numbing) phase to ensure its effectiveness.
When applied to open or broken areas, this spray numbs the skin, so it will not work on intact skin. It also helps to reduce swelling and bleeding during modern aesthetic procedures.
Cosmic Numbing Spray is a strong numbing liquid with 5% lidocaine and epinephrine. It provides fast pain relief during sensitive procedures.
Cosmic contains 5% Lidocaine Hydrochloride, which, with epinephrine, helps reduce swelling and bleeding by constricting blood vessels. Cosmic is manufactured in the USA and includes the highest level of lidocaine the FDA allows.
Cosmic Numbing Spray is great for numbing procedures like tattoos, microneedling, and more. However, it works only after the skin is open or broken, so use sparingly.
Please avoid contact with the eyes; do not use it around the eyes or as an eyeliner for permanent makeup.
