Active Ingredients in NeuroMed BLT Cream:

Benzocaine:

Benzocaine is a topical anesthetic that helps to numb the skin’s surface. Manufacturers often include it in over-the-counter products like creams, gels, and sprays. It temporarily relieves pain and itching.

Lidocaine:

Lidocaine hcl 4 cream is a local anesthetic commonly used for numbing purposes. Compared to benzocaine, it can penetrate deeper into the tissues, making it the perfect lip filler numbing cream.

Doctors use lidocaine, a local anesthetic, for many medical procedures, including dental work and minor surgeries. Manufacturers use lidocaine in topical creams and gels, such as NeuroMed BLT.

Tetracaine:

Tetracaine is a potent local anesthetic typically used for surface anesthesia or as a component in topical anesthetic formulations. It works by blocking nerve signals in the skin and mucous membranes.

Knowing how well-numbing lip creams work and how their safety depends on the formula, dose, and usage is important.

How to Use Topical Anesthetic Creams Safely:

Using Lidocaine Products Safely

Always follow the advice of a healthcare professional or the product’s instructions. This ensures safe and effective use on intact skin in adults.

Some people may be sensitive or allergic to the ingredients in numbing creams. It is important to do a patch test. Consult a healthcare provider if you have any concerns or notice bad reactions.

The effectiveness and safety of injections depend on the specific formulation, dosage, and application instructions. Always follow the recommendations of a healthcare professional or product’s instructions for safe and effective use.

Some people may be sensitive to the ingredients in OTC topical anesthetic creams and experience side effects. If you have any concerns or see bad reactions, doing a patch test and talking to a healthcare provider is essential.

NeuroMed BLT Cream is a Topical Local Anesthetic for:

Laser Treatment: BLT numbing creams to the treated area before laser treatments. This helps reduce pain from the heat and energy used during the procedure.

Aesthetic Procedures: NeuroMed BLT enhances patient comfort during aesthetic treatments. These include microneedling, fillers, PMU, PRP, and other facial procedures.

Skin Treatments: BLT numbing creams help reduce pain before skin treatments. These include hair removal methods like electrolysis and waxing.

Injectable Aesthetics: Some healthcare providers use BLT numbing creams to numb the skin. They do this before giving injectable treatments like Botox or cosmetic injectables to intact skin in adults.

Benefits of NeuroMed BLT Numbing Cream by Sambria:

Three (3) individually packaged topical anesthetics (a.ka “caines”) in one variety combination package:
Rapid onset, short duration benzocaine¹ (20% concentration) – NeuroMedFA (fast-acting)
Medium onset, medium duration lidocaine¹ (4% concentration) – NeuroMed7
Rapid onset, extended duration tetracaine¹ ² (2% concentration) – NeuroMedLA (long-acting).

Application Instructions:

  • Clean the treatment area with a gentle cleanser and damp cloth. This will remove dirt, makeup, or anything else that might block absorption.
  • If using during facial service, disinfect the skin with alcohol.
  • The dosage will depend on the skin type, the aggressiveness of the procedure, the patient’s known pain tolerance, and the surface area.
  • Use the least amount of product necessary to achieve the required local anesthetic.
  • Avoid use on open wounds, broken skin, eyes, ears, nostrils and mouth
  • Apply a hot compress for 5 minutes to enhance absorption
  • Mix the contents of all three packets in a sterile bowl or a gloved hand.
  • For best effect the recommended dose is 1.5ml/grams per 1″ X 1″ (square area)
  • Using gloves, apply the numbing cream evenly and rub vigorously in circular motions for 1-5 minutes for each area.
  • Apply more anesthetic cream to pain-sensitive areas on the face and body. Concentrate on critical areas such as the forehead, lips, and cheekbones, which tend to be sensitive. Also, pay attention to bony prominences on the body.
  • The peak action begins in approximately 15 – 20 minutes for the cream to numb the area.
  • Some doctors use an occlusive dressing to improve effectiveness. A licensed physician should decide on the type of occlusion, like plastic wrap such as Press N’ Seal.
  • The total dose of anesthetic should not exceed 10 ml/grams per application
  • DO NOT add other anesthetics to the NeuroMed BLT Cream
