NeuroMed BLT Numbing Cream, 5g (50) doses per box, is an excellent numbing cream for injections. The formula combines three active ingredients: benzocaine, lidocaine, and tetracaine, making it the best numbing cream for injections.
Active Pharmaceutic Ingredients API in NeuroMed BLT:
Benzocaine:
Benzocaine is a topical anesthetic that helps to numb the skin’s surface. Manufacturers use benzocaine in OTC items like creams, gels, and sprays to offer temporary respite from pain and itching.
Lidocaine:
Anesthetics such as lidocaine hcl 4% cream are local anesthetic agents commonly used for numbing effects. Compared to benzocaine, it can penetrate deeper into the tissues. Doctors use lidocaine or local anesthetics for many medical procedures, including dental work and minor surgeries. They are also part of creams and gels, such as NeuroMed BLT.
Tetracaine:
Tetracaine is a potent local anesthetic typically used for surface anesthesia or as a component in topical anesthetic formulations. It works by blocking nerve signals in the skin and mucous membranes.
